Ausma Clappison
AUSMA CLAPPISON

Ausma Clappison is a fibre/textile artist who creates "ecoscapes" using raw natural fibres. Experimenting with ancient and modern felt making techniques, she creates unique award winning eco-friendly, custom felted items. She is a graduate of Haliburton School of the Arts - Fibre Arts Program and member of the Ontario Crafts Council, Textile Museum, Warkworth Spinners and Weavers Guild. She shares her fibre art expertise and enthusiasm by facilitating workshops, guest speaking and public demonstrations.

Mara Lusis
MARA LUSIS

Mara Lusis is a Graduate of the OHS Spinning Certificate Programme and currently an instructor in that programme. She has won a number of awards for her work. She uses a wide variety of fibres as a medium for her fibre art creations. She is enthusiastic and passionate about, but not limited to, spinning, knitting, crochet and natural dyeing.

Jo Mills
JO MILLS

Jo Mills began weaving over 30 years ago, turning loom woven tapestry techniques into free form wall hangings.  More recently she has turned to spinning, working with fine wool, silk, alpaca and other exotic blends, much of which is hand-dyed.  Most of her work comprises of  shawls, scarves and accessories. Felting and fine gemstone embellishment are a feature of her clothing.  Jo is President of Ontario Handweavers and Spinners and a member of Warkworth and Peterborough Handweaving and Spinning Guilds.

Lee Resmer
LEE RESMER

Lee Resmer raises fibre animals including Alpacas, Llamas and Angora goats. She uses her farm-raised fibre for spinning, knitting and crocheting, with some items being processed at a local mini mill using her fleece.  The majority of her work utilizes the fabulous natural colours of her animals or dyes made from the plants found in her backyard.  Lee provides whole fleeces, rovings, batts and handspun yarn to the fibre community.
